Talking about vintage, I'm still using wavelab V6 and Nuendo.4 ! So with another routable stereo input i can use only WL without Pro Tools. I actually use a dedicated AD and aux channel to stream an HD copy of my monitoring path so a remote client may be able to listen in real time any movement form the console. Now what i think is the last missing bit (for my setup) is managing a way to monitor a spare stereo input in "aux in" fashion. I didn't realized that i can have multiple output busses for reference tracks and freely assign them to multiple dacs. Does this not work for your needs?sure is a better condition than before. No External FX plugin needed, no Master Section needed. The original file and analog capture are also perfectly in sync on the timeline which is handy too. Apply Clip FX as needed before the Reference Track feeds the analog chain (and a single Reference Track can be assigned to more than one DAC if you want), and then I record the analog chain back to a normal track within the same Audio Montage. I can put all the unmastered songs of an EP or album on a single Reference Track.
